Lietz HSC is excited to announce Walk-A-Thon 2025!!!

The Lietz 2025 Walkathon will take place on Friday, October 17 during the school day.  Parents are welcome to visit campus to cheer students on!  Grade schedule coming soon.

We need your help to make this a success!  We are looking for individuals interested in community outreach for Walkathon sponsorship.

Please email board@lietzhsc.com to express interest in volunteer opportunities!

What is the Walk-A-Thon?

Walk-a-thon is the largest Lietz Home and School Club fundraiser of the year. The financial generosity of our community, including parents, friends, family, neighbors, and local businesses, enables us to provide enrichment programs to our students that would not otherwise be possible.

Our educational enrichment programs include Art Vistas, Project Cornerstone, Create with Clay, classroom music and so much more. Funding for these programs comes directly from donations.  It costs about $250 per child each year to provide these additional enrichment programs and we are hoping to raise enough money to continue to fund all of our wonderful programs.

Each student and member of faculty will receive an event shirt with our yearly thematic logo.  Additional shirts are available for pre-order as well.

Donate

This year, our goal is $250 for each student. Donations can be provided online below. Alternatively, collection envelopes will be sent home with your student. Remember to check with your employer to see if they offer a corporate matching program!

Contributions using corporate programs (such as Benevity) are accepted and encouraged. If you do so, please send your donation receipt to treasurer@lietzhsc.com for your donation and match to count toward class incentives.

Donations are tax deductible and can be performed easily using the link below.

Where does my money go?

  • MUSIC and ART: Create with Clay, Art Vistas, supporting classroom music programs and bringing in extra curricular opportunities like band and choir
  • SEL (Social Emotional Learning): Project cornerstone and Kimochi
  • STEAM: Ensuring the maker space is stocked with supplies, subsidizing field trips and transportation, assemblies, science kits, learning materials
  • Competition: Registration fees for extra curricular teams like Math Olympiad and Odyssey of the Mind
  • DEI (Diversity, Equity and Inclusion): Materials to support learning about other cultures and various DEI topics, support in organizing multi-cultural night
  • MORE: winter workshop, consumables for lunch time clubs (knitting, lego, etc), garden club

How do we meet our goal?

  • Our fundraising goal is $250 for each student.
  • A donation of any amount helps!
  • Check with your workplace to see if they will match your donation.
  • Collect from friends, family and neighbors.

Sponsors

If you own a business or know someone that does, please consider being a Walk-a-thon Sponsor. Being a sponsor is a fantastic tax-deductible opportunity to advertise your business while supporting enrichment programs and supporting our school community.

More details are available here. If you’re interested, feel free to contact us at walkathon@lietzhsc.com or return the form through the school.
